Thursday, August 12 - Blue Ribbon Kids Club Kick Off Event
Have you ever been in a Jellyfish or Dirt N Worms eating contest?  Help the Blue Ribbon Kids staff kick off the 2010 Fair with games and contests for all ages!

Friday, August 13 - Creepy Crawlies with the
Polk County Conservation Board
To help celebrate Friday the 13th creepy crawlies will be invading the Blue Ribbon Kids Club Tent!

Monday, August 16 - How I Care for and Show My Animals
Have you ever wondered how kids care for and how their animals at the Fair?  There will be kids on hand to teach you how to care for and show their animals ranging from dog project to a horse project!

Tuesday, August 17 - Make and Take Craft Day
All you have to bring is your creativity and your smile as you will be decorating a picture block to fill with all your State Fair pictures!

Wednesday, August 18 - Gardening Fun with the
Polk County Master Gardeners
Come and learn all about vegetable and flower gardens and try your hand at making veggie characters!

Thursday, August 19 - Fair Square Fun
Learn how to create your very own Fair Square and there may even be a Fair Square sculpting contest!

Friday, August 20 - Staying Safe Around Our Pets with the
Animal Rescue League of Iowa
The Animal Rescue League of Iowa will bring some furry friends to help us learn how to stay safe around our pets, how to pet nice and what to do when you see a pet you do not know!
