IOWA YOUTH EARN $175,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS
AND AWARDS AT STATE FAIR

The Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement (IFAA) presented $175,000 in scholarships and awards to youth who participated in 4-H and FFA beef, swine, sheep and poultry projects Saturday, August 16, prior to the Sale of Champions at the Fair. 

The ceremony included the presentation of 67 scholarships with a value of $150,000, as well as 46 performance and carcass awards valued at $25,000.  When tallied with the Sale of Champions receipts, the IFAA provided $364,750 to young livestock and poultry producers to sustain their interest in agriculture and encourage related careers.
